Story: A stale tale the story begins with Rajkumar (shahid) who is a loyal aide to a drug dealer Shivraj (sonu sood). At the same time he is also in love with Chanda (sonakshi). At one point, Shivraj assigns Rajkumar the job of eliminating the rival don (ashish vidyarthi) and this don happens to be the uncle of Chanda. To add to that, Shivraj also eyes Chanda and wants to marry her. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a routine storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was not that engaging. The dialogues were routine. The script was below average and the screenplay was not that impressive. The background score was effective and three songs were good. Cinematography was excellent.  Editing was not that good. Costumes were just okay while the art department was alright. Shahid Kapoor was good in songs and other emotional scenes but not that convincing in action sequences, Sonakshi Sinha was stereotype barring her natural sex appeal. Sonu Sood and Ashish Vidyarthi were not used to their potential. Srihari made his presence felt. Asrani was below average. Mukul Dev was moderate.

Conclusion: A typical action packed masala entertainer doesn’t really have a great story to boast of but it also matters how the whole thing has been conceived. In this film, the first half is somewhat okay but after interval the film didn’t really have any great moments. Most of the energy was flat and somewhat erratic. Overall, this is a film which came in with promise but it doesn’t really have enough material to woo the audience. At the box office, this is going to go down without much energy.

Newstodaywatch verdict: No great story, not much appeal, ignore it
